Pulled out due to an injury sustained at the end of the season preferring to concentrate on pre-season.

He pulled out of the training squad and made himself unavailable for the U-21 European Championship to fully recover from a minor heel injury (i think) to ensure he's fully fit for our pre-season. Quite a big decision for him as it was his last chance to represent England at U21 level as he's too old after the current Championships finish.

It's a good signing for Watford.
I guess the fee will be around £4/5 million, with add-ons leading to the £8 million fee.
After all the 'albino' piss taking from us, I did like him as a player.
He would be done well with us.
Funny thing Watford are also going to Austria pre-season!
