Bags are allowed, if you turn up with one, it has to be checked and tested by sniffer dogs. The queue will be massive though and will be very slow.

Why wouldn't the other 2 be arrested if they are hanging around with the guy who was? Was it a bit like Father Ted in the lady's underwear sections all over again?

It sounds entirely plausible and there could be a perfectly reasonable explanation. A mate of mine used to study at Northbrook Aeronautical College which is at Shoreham Airport and he told me that they have a lot of students from Kuwait who study there.

Could simply be a few of those students.

I used to drive UAE students from the old Northeye prison, Bexhill, to Shoreham Airport, Worthing and Tonbridge, many years ago.
At the time, they seemed a quite friendly bunch of lads, over here spending their fathers dosh.

Reports now of 11 Muslims in a field in Australia. Apparently a complete stand off in silence ensued and lasted around 1 minute.
