Sussex police decided to send an officer to Germany (again) to follow a bunch of Brighton fans that went on a jolly to watch the Lev v Cologne game the other week....so much for police cuts! Nothing to do with the beer incident of course but just shows how the police over react with football fans

They got all they deserved. I think that quiet and good behaviour should be observed on the concourses at all times, otherwise we'll be going back to the '70s when supporting a football team was dangerous and exciting.

the first two guys were fined around twelve hundred quid between them for a bit of horseplay. They should probably have known better. Maybe they deserved to be ejected. After that, they probably wouldn't do it again. To ban them from football for three years is bloody harsh imo.

Quick look at the local paper shows someone getting fined less and a shorter ban for drink driving.

Or getting ft scot free for assaulting an Albion player who happened to be pushed into the stand

Leeds - but not the dirty bit
Just out of interest, has anyone on here been either in the Amex concourse or at an away game when the beer throwing starts. It's not funny when you are innocently enjoying the atmosphere and a pint comes flying at you. Soaking wet and smelly for the rest of the day. Still admit 3 years is OTT.

A largish group were doing this before and at half time at Wolves this season. Kept it to themselves and stewards and police just watched.
