thats not how i read your comment either, more that it was the only time for a brief moment someone got the better of him

Thank you, that is exactly as I intended it to read!

Didn't seem as though we were interested in signing him permanently. This looks like a good move for him and now will always remember him solely for that free kick against QPR...

Good luck Poco!

I think Wayne Bridge was past his best when he played for us. Best left back I've seen live when he played for Southampton at Withdean. Gary Williams was good on his day though. When Williams played for Preston NE at the Goldstone, I thought sign him up but I never expected we would.

Bruno is our best ever right back, but his style made me appreciate the late Mel Hopkins more. Too young back then.

Who are we going to sign as left back? I would not have minded Pocognoli, (after the free kick), but I think we will look for a younger player. CH's trade was a full back and i'm sure he won't make a mistake in his specialised position.

As our defence is not very quick, I think a speedy left-sided defender would be a boon.

Good luck Pocog. Shame that we didn't try to sign him permanently. Would personally have preferred him as back up left back but Hughton chose Bong and he sees them both in training.

As others say, we'll always remember that free kick at QPR (and the epic celebration that followed).

Best free kick by an Albion player I've seen. Not just because of the kick itself, but the pressure on him and what we gained. Good luck to the lad.

I thought Poco was going ot take it after he made a pig's ear of a free kick for the Under 21s.
