Brighton / Hove actually
I think the last game of the season up at Villa showed up some frailties in his game and going into the Premiership you really need to make sure that you spend wisely. So decent as he is I think I wouldn't be looking at throwing a 2 or 3 year deal at him either.

But to be fair they were all mistakes that he would never make again and probably never has done before in his career before. Apart from that he is probably technically better than Bong but Bong is a bit quicker. It could be argued but I think Bong and Poc are better than Wayne Bridge. When he was here we played at a much slower tempo.

If he isn't offered a contract we would have to get someone in significantly better to replace him lined up. I liked him, he fitted in well but if he isn't comin back, his goal was special and at the right time so I wish him the best.

Not sure why anyone is bothered - his performance at Villa was a nervy mistake ridden shambles - only one game I know but it was a pressure game & he really looked like he couldn't handle it. I've liked the look of him all season but that game changed my mind. Next season, every game will be a pressure game

After the Villa game I'm not surprised we're looking elsewhere.

This is the truth of the matter. It was a vital game and he lost composure. Additionally he is prone to dive in and unnecessarily give free kicks in dangerous positions. He is not what we need in the Premier League

I don't think it's just financially, despite Bong having a bizarrely poor reputation amongst some sections of our support, we've only lost 3 (?) league games he's started and surprisingly few goals tended to come from his area of the pitch. That said, we do need a very good left back anyway. I expect Bong to be a solid second choice next season.

Bong is rather physical and in the face of the wide player. I do not rate him much going forward but next season will be more about solidity at the back so he would get my vote of the two.

In my opinion, Bridge was immense, the best Albion full back I'd seen in 41 years.

Ridiculously effortless pace both in attack and in defence, gifted with the ball, amazing thatnwe had a recent England quality player.

I liked Pog, I thought he was at least as good as Bong, but I suppose with our defensive injury crisis in the past, we simply had too many bodies.

I.

Really? Bridge is the best full back I have seen in my 30 plus years of watching the albion, absolute class, loved watching him bomb up and down the wing.

I think that is the best cross I've ever seen in the flesh so to speak.

There was 2 peaches in that game wasn't there? The 2nd was just assist porn.

I hope he stays. I'm a huge fan, not only for the cult moments but his unorthodox style. Weird overhead kick interceptions and tackles. I think it was against Leeds, in the first few minutes, he almost snapped someone in half with a, how to say it, robust-yet-legitimate challenge.

And he's not a prick.

Let's see. Wherever he goes I hope his worth is valued (except Palace, Leeds, Sheffield W, Middlesbrough, Burnley, Huddersfield...etc).

Other people did too

But when you go up a division, if you do that sort of thing it could cost you about 5 points per season - And that could be the difference in staying up or not

They were freak mistakes that wouldn't be made in Sunday league. Up until that time he hadn't done anything wrong. Bruno amd Dunk have had their share of moments. If Poc was going to do that every week I would be concerned but I believe he is better than that.
