Buying a holiday home, it's about going somewhere you enjoy, not how much money you can make.

Love a place in st Kitts.

Looked at a place in villefranche, but don't really want to be tied to somewhere...prefer to cruise to various places. Especially when retired and don't have to play school holiday prices.

Some good advice above.
We moved to Spain 13 years ago and the only thing we would have done differently is instead of selling our UK home and buying here, we would have rented our UK home and rented over here.

Renting in Spain is very cheap, typically 500 euros a month for a 3 bed home with pool, even with the poor rate of exchange at the moment it must be possible to rent a UK pproperty for 1200 per month.
