Thought we might have gone a bit more retro, a more plan shirt, and got rid of having loads of stripes, I've always liked the more subtle version of stripes based on the old Birmingham kit from 70's, just one thick stripe down middle of shirt

Yup - it's a shocker, for sure.

If anything it gets worse each time I see it.

The thread title says- So, do you like the new shirt.
The poll says- yes,I want.

I do like the new shirt but I'm not someone that buys a shirt when they come out, or wears football shirts to matches.
So yes I like it, but I don't want it.

Not even to do the gardening in? :hilton:

If they'd made the shoulders the same shade of blue as the rest of the shirt this would be my first ever Amex sponsored shirt purchase. As it is I'm not sure.....I think I'll wait and see how it looks on MoTD for a few months. If I like what I see I may ask Santa for one at Chrimbo.

Edit:

Actually if they really wanted to do different shades they could have made the shoulders the same dark blue shade that's on the badge. That would have looked much nicer IMO.

Looks terrible from the back. Almost C&A 80s clobber.

The sleeves are also very 80s.

Are the shorts snow washed ?

At least it's not all blue like the 79-80 shirt when stripes were not thought suitable for Div 1. However it does look mixed race, the child of an all blue and a striped shirt, very now.

I quite like the front but agree, the back is a mess. Can't understand how something so simple as a football shirt can go so wrong. All the best kits are simple in lines and colour./
