Thanks for posting that. I have a fond memory of sitting at Portslade station in 1963 with my nan, watching the steam trains while my mum did the shopping. :thumbsup:

I used to stand at the Olive Road bridge and peek over the parapet as the train came under and then run across the road to catch it as it passed the other side taking in the smell of the steam.

Used to do the same at Fishersgate, as the steam trains went through. Not the same when the electric era came in.
