I recall having about 20 Ugo's in swaps as a kid.

Immortalised in Panini history.

Dreadful news. He was extremely well thought of in coaching circles, and was apparently a fitness nut. Incredible that this can happen to such a fit young bloke with half his life still ahead of him, absolutely tragic.

RIP Ugo.

RIP Ugo 44 is no age.

Really just shows that life is so short. Thoughts go to his family.

Shocking news, a great player in his day and should have won more England caps.

Terrible news to wake up to earlier. Liked him as a player, shame he wasn't capped more by England.

Thoughts go out to everyone affected.

This is such sad sad news.

I used to know him very well when he was playing, we worked closely with each other. Then after about 10 years of not seeing each other, our paths crossed when he became a Patron of a Charity working with people with mental health issues in the BEM Communities.

What a lovely big guy. I am totally in shock at this news

Shocking news, thought he was decent in his day and was unfortunate not to get more England caps. RIP.

Indeed, he was unlucky to be in the same era as Adams, Sol, and Rio. very sad R.I.P.

Saw him make his debut for Villa against Arsenal as an 18yo alongside Paul Mcgrath. Became a Villa legend when he took the great man's #5 shirt once he retired. Always thought he was massively underestimated when Southgate got most of the accolades at Villa. Sad loss too young.
