I know some smart 'arris will tell me that the real trophy has been replaced dozens of times, but here are some previous friends of the trophy that Bruno could be lifting if we get one more win.

Yep, it's the old trophy that used to be presented to winners of Division One, before it was superceded by the Premier League. It looks amazing, Bruno already has one hand on it!

Held aloft by so many world famous captains and managers over many many years, just a few of whom can be seen in the post above.

I think this is such an amazing and prestigious trophy with so much history- even if it's not the same one and has been replicated, to think we could be lifting this is simply awesome. We've never won this league and it would be a fitting end to a truly spectacular season if Bruno were to lift this

Very much this. Can't wait to be there to see it.

My last vision was seeing Joey Barton holding it

Apologies if asked and answered elsewhere but does anyone know if we get the trophy tomorrow if we win or will they wait until the Bristol City game?

An amazing thing... The Football League Championship Trophy. Won by a varied selection of the great and good of English (and Welsh) football.

Wouldn't matter, it's been replaced dozens of times.

Such an iconic trophy for Fans of English football. I know it now represents the 2nd tier but still so cool to think Bruno could be lifting it soon.

Great thread. I've already discussed this with friends.

I actually prefer it to the PL trophy.

Likewise!
A trophy that I've wanted to see since my youth, because of all of the history of it, and it will be fantastic to see it up close and in the hands of our Captain very, very soon :albion2:
