How do we improve our squad for PL?

I think we might have to play mostly the bulk of the squad we already have as anything more than four signings is gonna be signing expensive duds. More like Burnley and Bournemouth.

Newcastle can buy the duds.

Let's buy good additional players, and as you say, leave the duds to Newcastle.

We do seem to be generally reluctant to 'blood' youngsters. I'd like to see one of them on the bench regularly, even if only getting a few minutes of game time once the result was pretty much settled (one way or the other).

We've filled 16-17 places in the 25 man squad, so 8-9 places + any extra U21s still need to be recruited.

Not sure we'll get another right back in with both Rosenior and Bruno under contract. Unless Rosenior ends up as cover for left back.

It will more likely be FB cover either side, like Tomori for example.

Murray,baldock and hemed won't hack it but will be given a chance I'd suspect and skalak will be nowhere near the first team as well as Norwood.
Also I'm not a fan of poco and he's far to injury prone and is not worth the risk.

I don't think we will run with 2 keepers ,with only Sanchez as cover.No right back needed.I agree we we need a defensive midfielder of awesome quality.I think Abrahams is important ,because of his age,so does not count in the 25,and we IMO we need 5 strikers,Baldock only does half a season.Maybe one or two surprise departures,once they find that they are not in the 25.(with the number of players we have been linked with.......!!!)

Good point. Better to have 3 keepers than 3 rightbacks.

So relying on Bruno/LR as RB? Think your 12 or 15 will be RB. Would prefer ACM rather than DCM as current four do not score enough.

And if the squad is still too large the vulnerable players would come from Norwood, Murphy or Skalak, I suppose.
