All I can say is we had all these promises before from Labour, as the Who sang "Won't Get Fooled Again".
But cons will increase national insurance, raise tax, implement 5 tax returns a year, they're gonna screw over the self employed

(im sure its quarterly) in all honesty why would that be a problem? keep, track and pay 3 months worth of tax affairs rather than 12 months.

Not sure why the tax return increase would be a bad thing ? You have the bonus of being self employed and the benefits that come with that. Labour introduced IR35 which screwed over many self employed contractors so don't think they wouldn't also 'screw over the self employed'.

Worthing
you forgot to post your link to a more recent report...

Go to the NAO and look for the companies (city advisors) who were paid to aid and put together the rescue plan - and in the meantime add another £107million for their fees to the pot - if you want a more accurate answer. The treasury didn't know where to go.
Then you'll need to go off from there.

So you are saying that when people voted they basically voted for Brexit at all costs? Leave the EU no matter what?

He's saying that everyone who voted for Brexit voted to leave the EU, AND end freedom of movement, AND the 'confines' of the ECJ.

Which is clearly utter bullshit.

There were plenty of prominent Leave people who campaigned on a platform of Leave EU and KEEP freedom of movement and other EU rights.

And a shitload who were voting for the £350m/week saving.

And plenty more who thought they were voting for less Poles or Syrian Refugees.

Not to mention a sizeable minority of complete cretins who 'fancied a change'.

Immigration and its impact on communities, public resources, housing, jobs and lower pay (this last point per some Union leaders), was a very big reason.

The EU insist on freedom of movement, to participate in the free market, making a so called hard Brexit the only way forward, otherwise the concern of those who won the vote will have no prospect of being addressed.

You are probably right that 'hard' Brexit is the only option at this stage. That is absolutely NOT what ALL Leave voters explicitly voted for though, which is what pastaboy was claiming. Prominent spokespeople on the Leave side repeatedly claimed the goal was something very different.
