Harry claims in todays Mirror that HE(Redknapp) and his coaches are not being paid for these 3 games.

I know some friends of mine at HMRC ''Special Office'' who will be all over that statement ''like a rash''. How daft a comment is that to make publicly
So for the thick among us (me), what are you suggesting?

LOL - Your not thick Triggaaar !

Any Inspector sitting in the ''Special Office'' - If they were to read that in todays Mirror they would be thinking along the lines of

''He says he is not getting paid for those games'' - Lets wait and see. Then keep an eye out for a declaration of income. Then if none appears they will go hunting to see what alternative means of remuneration may have been agreed. To whom, where, and in what method it may have been made.

It was a silly statement to make to put them on notice like that. They will be licking their lips at HMRC in anticipation.

So you're suggesting he's not being genuine about working for free?

I wouldn't dream of suggesting such a thing but I know for sure that making that sort of statement will put Inspectors at HMRC on notice to potentially put some ''manpower'' on it to clarify matters.

I don't see that as a legally binding statement. It's not like he's held up a tax return showing no income from Birmingham City. If it turns out he has been paid, and the Revenue see that, and he has declared it and paid tax on it, they are hardly going after him to do him for this misleading quote.

I think he was probably not paid on a game by game basis, hence "not paid for the 3 games" but was paid based on the overall outcome. So perhaps nowt but expenses over teh period, but a £1m bonus if they stay up. he therefore wasn't paid for the 3 games ..... but was paid for their final league standing.

To employ him going forward though is utter madness. He is a busted flush at the top level, and has already shown his disinterest for this level of football.

Handed perm job there. Amazing.

So they sacked a promising young manager who left them in a play off position. The next person almost took them down a few months later. Now Redknapp. Quality.

Marriage made in heaven with mug foreign owners. Redknapp came out with the usual line the other day about 'seeing if the owners match my ambitions'. ie, I want a bottomless pit of your money to spend on a squad of about 50 players, (Kranjcar & Crouch being shoe-ins). When its starts going belly up, the usual excuses of being down to the bare bones will be trotted out. When he walks, Birmingham will be in a mess. Standard script for Redknapp.

Twiffic bunch of lads though.......

Of course it is not a legally binding statement but when an Inspector hears a statement like that he or she will have a signal set for a Section 9A Enquiry. And with history it will not be a local office based Enquiry, it will probably go straight to the ''Special Office'' in Leeds

OK, I'm out on my own here but I don't think 'Arry will be a disaster next season. He'll be given some money to spend, and knowing him, he'll be off like a drunken sailor on shore leave. He's got form at getting teams out of this division and he could well get to the play-offs (or close to them).

He probably won't go up though. He'll depart, moaning that the club won't invest. and then, in two years time, the accountants will look at the books and wonder why the club is heading for administration.
