How would promotion change our club long term?

What are the long term effects of us probably gaining promotion to the premiership? After all we'll be entering a brave new world in the clubs history, so what do you think?

Financial stability / independence?

Easier exit from the championship if we go down?

A bigger club with a Malaysian following?

Takes away the annual stress for the Board, and fans with interest, of the club having to balance transfers in and out and wages, against a background of FFP, whilst an imcreasing number of Championship competitors having PL parachute money or flought FFP.

Also financially, it gives a sustainable model for the future. TB can't keep pumping £25m a year into the club.

Who knows what will happen. It's been said that TB has a long term plan to establish us in the Prem. Whether that works straight away ala Southampton, or whether we'll have go up and down a few times like WBA who knows.

It should be an exciting ride whatever happens and the only thing that is certain is that if we do get relegated again, we'll be part of the group with huge revenues so we can pick and choose the best players to help us back up again.

Unless we choose players badly and end up like the others that failed to go back up with their parachute money!

If someone wants to make a few quid just start selling selfie sticks to all the plastic day trippers next season.

Don't forget the half and half scarf angle too. Easy money.

Many clubs struggle if relegated so it's imperative we don't pay silly wages and give long contracts out....We're sensible and will be just fine as we have a fantastic infrastructure.

Not worthwhile. With the club having sold 23,000 season tickets, and a waiting list of 1,500, an away allocation of 3,075 (10% of capacity), that only leaves around 4,000 for match by match sales. Aside from away fans the vast majority will be established, dyed in the wool, Albion fans who will probably stick two fingers up to such crap tat.

Indeed, I assume matchday tickets will go on sale to supporters with existing purchase history first and there will likely be none left to go on general sale, especially against the bigger clubs who the 'day-trippers' would want to see

You are forgetting that half of the 23000 season ticket holders are after this kind of tat / experience. So there is a market

A number of small clubs have established themselves in the Premier League but don't seem to have changed that much; Bournemouth, Burnley & Swansea spring to mind.

But one of the smallest clubs in the division has now changed beyond all recognition with:

1. New cladding
2. A T-Shirt gun
3. The special super light show

Change can be both a good thing and a bad thing. Hopefully we remain true to our fans as Palace have done.

100% THE most important thing. Especially in January. If (when probably) we're fighting relegation we don't want to panic and sign a few big marquee signings (who'll only be here for the money) in a desperate attempt to preserve PL status. Better to 'do a Burnley' - and that includes not panicking and sacking the manager.

In other words I hope the PL doesn't change how the club is run one iota.
