Maximum respect to AA when talking to a Palace fan who works for the club and does Stadium tours.

PF - I show them the dugout and the trophy cabinet.
AA - That can't be that big (or words along those lines)
PF - It's bigger than you think.
AA - But empty.

To be fair, he could have said pretty much the same to a lot of clubs - including us, sadly.

Have you done the stadium tour? If you had, you would have passed our trophy cabinet on the way into the boardroom.
Do you know that you get a replica trophy for all the silverware that you've won? We won four trophies at Withdean alone.

As would Palace have done occasionally - 2nd. Division in 1979, for example. But like a majority of League clubs, the trophy cabinet won't be bulging at the seams.
'Empty' in the context of AA's jocular remark doesn't literally mean completely empty.

Rather idiotic to award Palarse cups for coming 2nd. or being runners up, and counting Surrey Cups but not Sussex Senior Cups. Lack of education or just poor research?

How come you claim FA Cup runners up as an honour and we don't get one for ours in 1983?
