Assume CH keeping things close to his chest on fitness ready players.

Didn't they suggest that they very VERY nearly played him against Leeds but decided not to as a precaution? If so you'd have to think he was back fully by now.

Pocognoli was allegedly very very close a fortnight ago, so surely he must be fit, (even if not completely match fit), by now.

You clearly haven't quite got the hang of this.

If Chris says he's close, but might not quite be ready for Saturday, then expect him to start.
If Chris says he's fit, then he'll be rested.

They would be getting to a higher level of blatant lying if this was the case re: Bruno, as they were very specific about how close he was to playing.

Hardly.

He'll answer the question as evasively as possible.

Based on what.
Any examples where he's actually done this.
He was honest about Bruno's fitness and all other players for 30 minutes or so in the press conference as it was then ( pre Leeds) and then went live on TV before the match explaining why Bruno had pulled out having been asked why he wasn't in the squad.

"he came through training yesterday but we thought it was too much of a risk" was his actual quote pre Leeds in the Sky interview.

what about the dozens and dozens of times this year when he's said in press conferences x or y will return and x or y have returned.

Baldock for one - he said he was days away and we didn't see him for several weeks, can't exactly recall when it was. Not the only time he has done it either.

I would suggest being economical with the truth rather than blatant lying.

Yes, you are correct there are dozens of times what he has said has happened, there are also numerous occasions when it hasn't happened. On that basis i would not take what he says tomorrow morning as gospel.
