A 75-year-old man has become the fifth person to die following the attacks in Westminster, Metropolitan Police say

I don't know what is more sad.The fact that another person has lost his life because of this muslim skumbag, or the certainty that in 20 years time some kid who is at present still in nappies, will be telling us all that this terrorist had a 'just' and valid reason for the carnage. I hope Mr Khalid Masood is with his brother in arms Martin McGuiness beating off the flames of damnation.

How would the death penalty stop people who are on what could only ever be a suicide mission?

maybe the thought that if they failed they would be hung and be disposed of by the state thus forgoing the supposed paradise which is awaiting.....my also stop youngsters being radicalised in the first place.

The death penalty has been solidly proven in every territory that has it, not to deter murderers. Let alone these mental ********s.

I rarely agree with you, but in this case I do.

Lifetime Sentence of solitary confinement would do it for me, hopefully they would be bouncing off the walls for the rest of their f*cked up lives...

It's up there now.....

"An address in Brighton has been searched as part of a series of anti-terror raids by police across the country.

Police officers and intelligence agencies have mounted a massive investigation to piece together the movements in the lead-up to the attack on Westminster yesterday.

It included a raid on an undisclosed location in Brighton as well as searches carried out at three addresses in Birmingham and one each in east London, Carmarthenshire and south east London.

No arrests were made in the city, a police spokesman confirmed.

Sussex Police today said there was no reason to believe there was ‘any specific threat to community safety’ in the county.

Assistant Chief Constable Laurence Taylor, of Sussex Police, said: "In light of yesterday's event the threat level hasn't changed, it has remained severe since 2014. There is no current evidence of any specific threat to community safety in Sussex and policing across the country continues to operate as usual.

"We urge the public to remain alert but not alarmed - our policing tactics and security measures are constantly reviewed and we, along with our partners, are working around the clock to keep our cities as safe. If you see anything suspicious then let us know using the Anti terrorist hotline 0800 789 321 or 999 in an emergency.

"Acts of terrorism and hate crimes are committed by a small minority of people and are not representative of the public. This is a time for us all to work closely together and unite against those who seek, through violence and extremism, to intimidate or cause fear."

Have you noticed an increased police activity in your area? Call The Argus newsdesk on 01273 021370 or email news@theargus.co.uk"

The raid was at The Preston Park Hotel, that murdering scumbag spent his last night there, the police found his hotel receipt in the hire car he used.

But that is what they are saying- and challenging.

They are making it clear that the attacker is given to a warped ideal of religion.

If they are saying he is wrong, making public their view, and preaching a different doctrine to their thousands of members, I'm really not sure what else you want from them.

They are part of our society, they are not separate. The only 'them and us' is the terrorists we all condemn.

There are over two million Muslims in this country. Only a tiny fraction (too many) support this kind of practise. But you are directing your anger at the wrong people.

You will find plenty of posters that want to argue you points with you and their dogma will will not shift.

However you are spot on with this. IMHO there are two groups that want to divide us and they are both talking about fighting a 'war' between Muslims and non Mulsims. The quicker we get our shit toegether and make the them and us about decent people and terrorists and extremists the quicker we will find a soloution to the problems.

Couldn't seem this anywhere on the thread - apologies if I've missed it.

Whilst it's a noble effort given the number of muslims living in the UK that's really not a huge amount of money. Not exactly the same but I recall when some Wolves 'fans' beat up a Watford fan and put him in a coma a few years ago other supporters were so ashamed they set up a funding page and raised nearly 40k.

This, considering the muslim population in London of over 600k in the last census back in 2001 hardly flooding in as described.

Yet to observe similar outrage as when cartoons are published from Muslims in the UK ,

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...rn-terrorist-teacher-father-mi5-a7647121.html

Despite the impression he gave his more recent neighbours, Masood had form, for both petty criminality, and at least peripherally, for involvement in Islamist extremism.

Born Adrian Elms in Dartford, Kent, he was reportedly brought up in Rye, East Sussex by a single parent.

He is understood to have been jailed on at least two occasions, with reports on Thursday night suggesting he may have been radicalised behind bars.

One of those spells in prison is reported to have resulted from an incident when Masood stabbed a 22-year-old in the face in Eastbourne in 2003.

I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to say? Are you suggesting we should be reacting the same way as certain Muslims react to cartoons they've found offensive? It's as if you are insinuating we should be copying their behaviour. What should we do, make some placards condemning people driving cars into people – do you not think people are not outraged enough?

Patience . . or

FFS. Give them a chance.

It needed the papers and social media to pick it up overnight, it's now gained momentum. 18K so far but it's going up regularly now.

Not at all only that Muslims reactions to cartoons appear to be more outraged then when murder is carried out on their behalf .
