You should be able to do what you want when you've been gifted a stadium, pay **** all for the upkeep and have the TV money coming in year in year out that they do.

Its a TRAP

Read the small print. Anyone arriving at the City of Londond stadium on a 'forwarded ticket', but cannot produce a photo ID when demanded, will be immediately frogmarched from zee premises. Both the STH and the offender will then be BANNED from the stadium until further notice, and their seat cordoned off with police tape.

As it happens they are "Doing a full audit on reduced price Season Tickets and will require identification from all of those who are over 65, under 21 and under 16 by the middle of July 2017."

Is this really different from Albion's approach.?
Clearly its about time the club had some technology that made ticket transfer, ticket exchanges easier. That is different. This looks very impressive and easy to use. A smart thing to do for sharing adult tickets with each other for home games.

But Barber has never clamped down on fans transferring Adult home tickets between fans if they can't make it to my knowledge. The club have always turned a blind eye to it.

Just upgrades. ie: buying a u18 or u21 ticket and then either sneaking in adults or not using it for kids or using it multiple times over a season. In fact West Ham don't seem to have a upgrade policy - its entirely at their discretion for "specific matches" that you're allowed to pay a full ticket price to get in - https://www.eticketing.co.uk/whufc/staticpages/termsandconditions.aspx

OR last week's missive about buying Away tickets for someone else who hasn't the correct Loyalty points. West Ham have an even more complex loyalty point scheme for that than we do.

they also have in their Ts and Cs a clause saying they will hold back purchased tickets "for collection" and ask you for photo ID "in exceptional circumstances" when buying tickets

Guess they're not losing £25m a year ?
yes, cos its a couple of fans passing their tickets on and NOT the players wages that causes Tony to lose £25m a year... :)

I thought it was infrastructure that causes Tony to lose £25m a year and that the players' wages are, relatively speaking, under control by Championship standards. Could be wrong.

You have to work quite hard to "lose £25m" in the Premier League.

The point of looking at West Ham's arrangements is as a window on what is possible for us should we get promoted. As has been said many times, the new TV money dwarfs ticket sales revenue to such an extent that it is quite feasible for PL clubs to be "generous" to their fans on pricing.

Exactly....which is why comparing us with them now is a bit pointless.......

Hanged,, drawn & quartered, please

Hanged means you end up dead. Hung drawn and quartered is correct as the second part is pretty pointless if you've been hanged.

Apart from that fact we have been told already what BHAFC plan to do regarding ticket prices and arrangements in the event of us being promoted. The West Ham model seems extremely fan friendly and hopefully something we might be able to progress towards if we get the hang of things in the PL.

Obviously relatively idle chat but that doesn't seem particularly out of order on NSC...

If we aspired to WH ticket pricing , aside from their progressive approach to kids STs, if we got promoted then most ST holders would face a substantial increase. They have one lower band (£289). The rest are considerably higher. They also , of course, have a stadium thats double the size so stadium revenue is not as fixed as BHAFC - so more options.
