To celebrate National Pie Week the better half has invited Polly and Giles round for a Goose and Lingonberry Pie. Just hope they don't stay too late so I can keep tabs on the football.

That Pi doesn't have much filling at all, it will be all pastry with not a lot of flavour. I much prefer a Pi with far more filling, and by favourite is:

3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937510582097494459230781640628620899862803482534211706798214808651328230664709384460955058223172535940812848111745028410270193852110555etc.

Sorry for cutting you're 'filling' short, but thanks for giving me RSI.

For me it must steak & kidney. Best pies ever by a mile Turners. Shops in Bognor Regis (the original ) then Rustington and now Chichester. They also supply Harrods and have Best in England a few times.

I'm also a sucker for the rustington Turners pie shop and I have to admit am the proud owners of their lunchtime loyalty card. Take away box with mashed potato and mushy peas and gravy. Just one more and I qualify for a free one. Guaranteed to cheer you up if results don't go our way.

Kidney is absolutely VILE and completely ruins the steak aspect of any pie.

My mum used to make steak and kidney pie, and I'd spend the entire meal carefully picking the disgusting bits of kidney out of it. Not easy, when its all covered in crust and gravy. If I missed a bit and ate it, I'd GAG.

I am the exact opposite as I think the kidney adds flavour to the steak but then I like devilled kidneys and fried liver
