I have a sneaking suspicion he knows how to beat Norwich

I have a sneaky suspicion that you really don't like Norwich and that comment is more hope than fact

Love you to be right but they have good players and will be very very up for this game given their total humiliation at the Amex. I would take a draw right now

No issues getting those contents into the ground ? When we lived abroad and came to matches we faced a dilemma about what to do with bags if the game was on arrival day. Never wanted to take the risk so always diverted to relatives first. We once had deodorant confiscated away at Exeter !

It's never been an issue at the AMEX. Away games are different and I would enter lighter.

They do

However, they refuse to or simply just haven't addressed their weak points in central defence

My Globetrotter leather tote is being rested tomorrow night and my Mulberry slim-messager man bag is back.

Good of you to put yourself, and your lucky leather tote, forward as the reason why we lost.

Brave man.

No, HT, you must stick with the tote bag, you can't break a winning cycle. If we loose it will be your fault.

The slim-messenger will be fine. Trust me, the tactics will work.

Depends.

The slim messenger is used for out and about local and UK day trips; typically it will contain my phone, passport, wallet (man purse), keysiPad and any paper I need to read (typically German home work these days). I often carry my phone in my pocket but hate loading up my pockets with anything else.

The new tote is used for overnighters, like last Saturday, so it will carry the aforementioned plus a tooth brush, toothpaste, deodorant and phone charger and fresh socks, pants and tee.

But he clearly wasn't, was he?!

I really felt for Tomori, young and inexperienced, having to come on early, at left back, in such an important game. Left back was "out of position" for him and I thought he did pretty well considering. But with Rosenior and Bong out with long term injuries, I wish I could understand why we didn't get left back cover in during the window. Tomori did well but he aint Wayne Bridge or even Stephen Ward. Our failure to recruit LB cover may cost us dear.

Situation compounded by having Murphy in front of him who doesn't have a left foot either!

Warren mumbled something about Rosenior being fit now after playing a few games for the u23s

What more left back cover can you want? Bong, Poco, Rosenior, Tomori. A fifth just in case!? No the fact is we've been unlucky with injuries. Crossed fingers that Rosenior is fit for Saturday....

I hope Rosenior is fit for Saturday, but he surely won't make 3 matches in 6 days.

Maybe Forest and Derby is more realistic with Tomori playing at Rotherham ?

At the time of the transfer window Poco was fit and Rosenior had played a twice for the DS, including a full 90 mins. I expect they thought he'd be back to full fitness much sooner.

Naylor is speculating on whether LR will play on Saturday. I'd be surprised of he wasn't in the squad after a full 90 mins for the DS on Monday. Anyone watch Monday's game?

i was there on Monday. Rosenior had no fitness problems at all and came through the match without issue. However the U23 games are much less intense than first team games and LR was not match sharp - a number of his passes went astray, as he knew because he kept going 'arrggghhh'. For Saturday I'd have LR on the bench but stick with Tomori (assuming Poco is out).

Yes, watched the majority of it on Player.

How many left backs do we need in the squad? Bong and Rosenior were both on their way back and Pocognoli was doing really well. Seriously it would have been ridiculous to bring in a specialist left back rather than a defender who can play across the back line, which is what Tomori is. What do you say to them? You might get a game if we have three left backs (and Adekugbe who did well at Preston apparently) out at the same time.

Sounds promising. I guess match sharpness comes from playing matches, so he has to be played eventually. I don't know much about Forest or Rotherham's wide players, but there could be far worse teams to face for your return to the senior squad.

It was about this time last season that he made his first sub appearance, coming on at half time v Cardiff when we'd already conceded 3. I don't think we looked back from that point on.

No - we already had a fifth in Adekugbe (also injured). I guess he was suggesting we ought to have signed a sixth, just in case.

Get Rosenior in, naturally fit and has a couple of u23 in the bank already

http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/15129954.Rosenior_boost_for_Albion/?ref=twtrec

Boss Chris Hughton said today: "Seb just felt his groin very slightly. At this moment that probably means him missing Saturday's game. The good news is he has a chance and it's not too bad.

Liam Rosenior's 28-week absence from the first team reckoning for Albion is over.
The experienced utility player is back in the squad for Saturday's trip to Nottingham Forest.

I reckon someone on here would play ten left backs..probably keep the goalie though

Isn't it rather ironical that for the 2nd season running we have been subject to long term injuries to our left back. The difference being this season we are more prepared to cope with it. We haven't suffered similar injuries in other positions.
