Nice Gesture By David Stockdale at The End Of The Game

Stockers was wandering back towards the tunnel, most fans had left or were just filing out, when a fan came out of the north-west and went (just) on the pitch to congratulate him. It was all very low key, but I noticed a steward tracked him and promptly nicked him, aided by another steward. Given what happened at Lincoln, that could be a very costly error by the fan.

Anyone know who it was and what the outcome was?

Er, some of it. What I assume was the lad's dad was going mental in the North concourse (NW corner) after the game had finished, basically fighting with stewards (only guessing but maybe annoyed his lad was being ejected). Appeared to have lost it completely - he was trying to throw punches etc. Steward eventually ended up pinning him to the floor before the police came and it all calmed down. The lad meanwhile was watching all this, bawling his eyes out and being comforted by someone else.

Really? the fan who I saw get nicked was early 20s.

Guessing the lad had no idea of the implications as he was grinning, presumably at the notoriety, as he was escorted past me:facepalm:

Saw the whole thing - assumed it was a ball boy at first - hugged a couple of players. All obviously good natured & only a young lad. Really annoyed me that the ****ing jobsworth steward SPRINTED all the way from the East side (kid was blissfully unaware) and pretty much spoilt his moment. Too heavy handed grabbing him IMO. Yes rules are rules but once he'd seen it was a kid he could've gone easy - common sense and some stewards don't go well together.

Oh and yes I don't think the lad realised the 'seriousness' of what he'd done. Hopefully just a slap on the wrists given he looked about 14/15..?

Agreed, escort him back to the stands and explain the rules.....he was no danger to anyone.

What's going to happen If we get promoted and pour on to the pitch? Will they ban us all?
Maybe... it won't bother them as there will be a long list of those wanting to fill the vacated seats.

Knockaert took off his shirt and gave it to a youngster behind the goal at Barnsley. I did worry that a pedantic ref might have booked him but I suppose it was well after the final whistle!

Great effort from Stockers....but why is someone wearing pink surgical gloves?

I saw that, I thought he was a ball boy at first. He may well regret that.
