It was huge. Then when we did get to Brighton they closed the gate to the platform 7 and 8 queue to keep us on there while they escorted a supposed "firm" on to a London bound train, police dogs and everything. No fighting, naturally, but our singing went even louder. Missed the effing connection to Portslade though

Not a fairy tale. Heard exactly the same story from a friend. Spoke to another mate before the game and he said there was a bit of fisticuffs outside Brighton station. I reckon it's the extra couple of hours drinking that brought all this out.

Reading got brave today.

Honestly. I don't know how anyone can wake up in the morning, look at themselves in the mirror and support tucking Reading.

I would rather be a convicted serial rapist than be a Reading fan.

I was drinking in Lewes before the game with an ex-work colleague Reading fan and about 15 of his mates. They've been supporting Reading since they were all kids and are all proper fans and decent blokes. Hate modern football, love terrace culture and some of them are also England regulars. Not every Reading fan is like the wallies you probably met today.

To be fair they turned up,about 40 off them wearing all the gear but no idea .Average age 17 giving it large untill some brighton had a go then they dissaperd,as mobs goes we had a harded crew at scouts.
