Baldock who has gained promotion before with West Ham or Hogan who hasn't.

Next season in the premiership I'd rather have Hogan with his pace and finishing

He gets broken playing football so perhaps rugby is not the best choice for him!

Baldock hardly featured in West Ham's promotion run-in.

I didn't think Hogan was worth an extra £8 million, just for a slight extra in pace and better shot with his swinger, worth perhaps an extra 4 pts to the end of the season. I hope we get enough points with Baldock.

Hogan got his big move and went to the wrong team

Ernest - A lot of the time you talk common sense but for the most part you talk shit but when you talk shit you are just doing a ''look at me scenario'' On this one we definitely disagree. I watched him closely for only the 2nd or 3rd time tonight that I have seen Hogan on a 90 minute match. For the most part you summarise individuals well but not Hogan in MY opinion.

Hogan is the most bang average player I have ever seen that commanded a fee worth millions. No matter who he went to he will be discarded within a year. Players can look good if they choose the right club and he is not one of them. He is a decent player but what did the pay for him ? £10m or something - We have resisted the temptation of throwing millions at individuals who have become ''hot property'' based on stats and newspaper cutting.

Another is Kodija - I watched both of them last night and beforehand I thought they were brilliant players but was told '' nowhere near as good as their stats would have you believe'' . I was waiting to have someone convince me was true. THAT MATCH CINVINCED me they were those type of players.

Players only thrive on the players around them and unless you can find players who compliment each other then no one is a brilliant player, far less someone with limited ability like Hogan.

This thread was about Sam Bulldock - I was never a fan but he has a value to a team. He doesn't score massive amounts of goals but for me he has a value to a team that it worth it's weight in gold and I really didn't really think I would find myself saying that 2 years ago. Maybe Hogan would have enhanced Brighton but is he was worth nowhere near £10m. No chance , not even half of that.
Villa are welcome to him for that price.

Sam Baldock's 2016-17 highlights reel is going to be AMAZING!
But short.

But but that can't be right.

Hogan has scored 2 goals at the AMEX, by Vydra's Law that makes him the greatest player never to play for the Albion, and must be signed the moment every transfer window opens.

Maybe we should offer him a week long contract for him to prove himself.

Would he get into the Huddersfield superteam ?

If this was a player we were going to sign.....

and you can add the Burton and Barnsley goals to that

He does like a goal celebration doesn't he

As said at the time, that video does SB no good at all, and typifies just how fraudulent Youtube highlights packages can be.

The guy is the lynch pin of this current squad.
The team clearly all play better when he's on the pitch.

The video shows him scoring with both feet and his head from 1 to 25 yards out, and yet:-

With a grand total of 18 goals from 82 appearances, this season's highlights clip will be important but it'll also be short.

Alright, my point was simply that he has scored at four worldie goals this season, nothing more than that.

yes he's very important to the squad, and his work off the ball is hugely important, no-one with a brain denies that, but I for one am delighted he is getting the goals too as it helps keep other people off his back.

This season he has 10 goals in 27 games, if its the case that he only had 8 in his previous 55 games for us it probably shows that, at age 27, he is finally finding his feet at this level. Adding these goals to his game may represent a real development in his career, not the anomaly that you are perhaps implying?
