Best wishes for a speedy recovery for Connor.

Is Hall ahead of Ben White in the pecking order? he's not been in a first team squad yet let alone on bench.

Just one more reason why promotion would mean so much this time after all the near-misses and sadness of recent seasons.

Here's to your quick recovery and return to the stripes, Connor.

And let's get a win tomorrow for him.

It's our time.

Just to under speculate and simplify. The heart is a muscle, so it's a muscle injury. But, because this muscle needs to keep moving so as not to make him dead, recovery will be longer hence the rest of the season.
All the best to him

It may be a valve. 'heart murmor'. Its trivial. but it is surgery.... the 'season over' will be 'post op monitoring'.

Cardiomyopathy, hypertrophy, not amenable to surgery; aortic stenosis is a bit of major surgery but unlikely to be this as its symptomatic and not compatible with active athleticism.

The fact it has been diagnosed means that Connor will be fine, although how well he comes back depends on what it is, hence the speculation on here.

Apologies if details already published . . . . not checked yet.

Best wishes to Connor for his recovery, looking forward to seeing him back in the stripes next season. Hopefully it gives the squad a bit of an incentive for the rest of the season to do it for Connor

Which brings to me a question...

Has an Albion player ever died while under the books of our club?

Not the most appropriate thread to be asking that question. I hope Connor doesn't decide to scroll through NSC to read the messages of good will in response to the news. He was probably feeling quite uplifted and touched by the concern shown until he got to page 7. I think this is one of those "I'll get my coat" moments.

This news brought back memories of Asa Hartford whose proposed transfer to Leeds in 1971 was scuppered when a pre transfer medical revealed he had a hole in the heart. It was big news at the time. Hartford went on to have a successful career with Manchester City and also won international caps with Scotland. He was even still playing at the age of 40 for Boston United.
