One thing this does show clearly - and I know we all know it - is that the teams below us will take points off each other. Every fourth or fifth game for the teams challenging top two below is will be against others in the top six.

It's why I'm quietly confident the total needed for 2nd will be quite a bit lower than last season.

The Owls have the hardest run of three games there, IMHO.
Though ours could potentially end up as 3 x draws, I hope I'm wrong.

Potentially, but as we all know, football throws up random results.

I don't worry about other teams games, we have just got to keep doing what we have done and we will get promoted.

Hope they do win both, means they would take points of both Reading and Leeds and potentially open up a gap for us!

I'm thinking a couple of draws, will finally kill of Derby, but Derby W1 D1 won't be bad at all

Don't think this is an unreasonable table after the 31st games

BHA 28 - 62
Toon Pot 28 - 61
Tin Pot 29 - 54
Hudd's 27 - 49
Dirty Leeds 27 - 47
Wendy 28 - 46

Could handle Derby slipping up v Leeds. Not impossible that we'd go 20 points ahead of the rams if we win the game in hand v Cardiff.

Preston - Sat 14th (a)
Sheff Wed - Fri 20th (h)
Cardiff - Tues 24th (h)

Currently 54pts from 24 games. Would settle for five points from those now - and I think that would leave us top at the end of Jan no matter what the rest do.

Newcastle (52pts from 25 games) have Brentford (a) and Rotherham (h).
Reading (46/24) have QPR/KLL (h), Derby (a) and Fulham (h).
Huddersfield (46/25) have Sheff Wed (a) and Ipswich (h).
Leeds (45/25) have Derby (h) and Barnsley (a).
Sheff Wed (42/25) play Hudds (h) and Brighton (a).

All those boldened as draws please. We know which way we want the other games to go too.

Guys, we have been scoring points of around 2.25 per game, we need 1.76 pts per game to go up, forget the rest and focus on us, is my thinking. It's not wrong to believe, hope or have faith is stats. Yes football's a funny old game but we're in the driving seat, enjoy the journey, next stop Old Trafford!

Not really looking at just the next few games.

My take on it is that we probably need 12 wins, maybe 13 to get promoted....

We have 22 games to achieve that in. On our form that shouldn't be a problem
