Just be aware that with Sonos it will only stream music services and music libraries from your device that is within its software capabilities. It will not for example, be able to provide the audio from a Netflix video on your iPad to the Sonos speaker. This will be frustrating to anyone buying a Sonos thinking they can steam any audio from their device to the speaker - you cannot. There are advantages to what Sonos does though in terms of streaming and not needing your device for the content.

I used to be a dreadful audiophile when younger. Roksan Xerxes turntable, Meridian CD player, Exposure VI, VII and Dual IV amps and Rouark Talisman speakers, don't even ask about the stands, interconnects and speaker cables!

Sounded lovely:rock:

Now I don't have the time, the inclination, the ears or the room. Do I miss it? Well maybe................but got to say go go #Team Sonos:rock:

Did it like I meant it with Akubarik System in the conservatory and a Klimax in the lounge.

Kinda depends what it is you're after.

Sonos from a technical standpoint is excellent. Easy to setup and easy to use.

If you want something that sounds really good, you can't get any better than Bowers & Wilkins. Bose don't even come close in that regard.

Where do you typically store your music? If you play music via iTunes, you can stream to multiple speakers over AirPlay. It's a little more clunky than Sonos but oh my, the sound is incredible.

This is us - B&W Speakers with Rotel amp, and Apple Airplays (one in the lounge, one in kitchen). I agree - a lot more clunky than Sonos, but it works bloody well

went to the bose shop today, can get all I want for £450 thats for 3 rooms . The advice was second to none and the app looked so easy.

Is there such a thing as a Sonos shop? or is it currys and expect some spotty youth who knows 2/3 of **** all to be the expert?

Local independent Hi-fi dealers should stock the kit but Sonos offer a 100 day money back guarantee if purchased direct from them. So what's better than a demo in your own home? :)

I wouldn't expect someone in a Bose shop to be an expert in anything other than selling you Bose stuff.

Bought Bose in the end, main larger speaker in the living room and speakers in kitchen and bedroom,
Stared using Spotify as well don't know why I did not use Spotify earlier, way better than having CDs everywhere or iPod plugged in.

Sound is fantastic as I would expect from Bose ( I have a Bose TV surround sound for a few years )

Set up fantastically easy and all for £450

I have a Bose Soundtouch 20 and chose it over Sonos specifically because it does support bluetooth so wifey can play her ipod.
