A No 10 who wouldnt cost a lot of money and possibly could make the grade but would he be accepted Ched Evans

He isn't a #10 BG.

To be fair, he did ask whether other people would find it acceptable. It was a question - OK first responses appear that the answer's a great big 'no', but it was still a legitimate question.

Do we even need to ask the question? Just engage brain before posting surely?

Sky sources understand Barnsley striker Sam Winnall has had a medical at Sheffield Wednesday and is expected to sign for Carlos Carvalhal's side later today.

He could be a good signing for them. Has scored 11 league goals so far this season. Not sure how much he is costing.

Sun reported a £500k bid, which seems ludicrous for the division's 6th highest scorer.

This smacks of COG though does it not?
Yeah I'm not thinking we should have gone for him, I think he's more like Murray/Hemed, but the price tag seems very low.

Apparently other Champ clubs interested (not us) and the reason Sheff Wed got him was exactly because of the fat(ter) wage.
I'm surprised if he's on a big wage at Barnsley having come from League 1.

So another chasing club with at least 5 strikers now. (Hooper, Fletcher, Forestieri, Nuhui and now Winnall.)
Yeah, they need to worry about creating chances, not scoring them.

Why? It was a valid question, even if you - and others - are violently opposed to one of the possible answers. So, just answer 'No' then - no need to attack the person who asks the hypothetical question.

Just out of interest, now that his conviction has been quashed, do you think he should never be allowed to play professional football ever again? If not for ever, how long to you think he should be banned for?

His conviction has been quashed and therefore he is free to ply his trade wherever will have him BUT I wouldn't like us to sign him because of the questionable morality about his actions.

And it wasn't an 'attack' on BG for the reason you're thinking, more from a that's a stupid suggestion from a pure footballing ability perspective.

Agreed. The court didn't find him guilty so he is free to pick up his paycheck anywhere.

However, there is no way I would want him at the albion.

He is a much better player than COG and has scored goals wherever he has had a substantial number of games. It's a very good signing by Wednesday.
