Just because Birmingham have got Zola, doesn't mean they will start instantly playing to his standards.
Look at Mourinho at Manure, still idling along.

IMHO they will all try to up their game on Saturday to impress the new boss but we must hope that TK helps us out with a couple of mistakes and concedes a couple of easy goals.

Zola should be ashamed. Obviously agreed to the job in advance of predecessor (who was doing a good job) being fired/paid off. There is no honour anymore.....

He's got a terrible recent managerial record. Last 3 jobs.

On 16 December 2013, Zola resigned as Watford manager.[55] At the time of his resignation, Watford were 13th in the league, had not won since October 2013 and had lost their last five home games.[56]

After less than three months as Cagliari's manager, Zola was sacked on 9 March 2015, after being unable to escape the relegation zone after 10 matches

After a poor first season, Zola was sacked by the Qatari side. Zola had achieved 10 wins from 26 games, losing 11, with the team placing 8th in the 14-team league

I agree with this but it won't have escaped CH or our team - we will have already been expecting a stern challenge and we do seem to be mentally tough when the going is seemingly stronger these days.

I still think we will take the points. This current crop of BHA players really are a bit special and will be ready for the challenge

Hughton would say we can't control what is happening at Birmingham and we'll focus on what we can control.

Quite right too.

Ludicrous fan boy behaviour by the Birmingham board. If it causes a leaching of 25% of the Brum players' mental bone marrow this weekend, I'd be shedding no more than crocodile tears. In any case, the ex manager will soon find a more convivial bivouc, somehere, commensurate with his cachet.

Completely agree, makes you wonder that if Brighton were not the next fixture whether the timing would be different.

After yesterday's win, a win to 2nd place BHA would be even more difficult to sell to players/fans?

This situation would appear indicate that we have now arrived at the madness where owners are hoping their team lose.
