Well 14 games unbeaten is a cracking return to form from the shambles of what was before. Like many i just read the reports and interviews, however and maybe it is me (?) Jones seems to play a straight bat and keeps his messages simple and to the point.

Can we get Gareth Southgate to start every sentence with - " Ah look mate..." ?

No harm in trying, surely.

Can we have some facts to back that up please. Both England and Australia teams today, how many born and bred?

There you go.

Mike Brown - Southampton
Marland Yarde - St Lucia but lived here since a 9yr old
Jonathan Joseph - Derby
Owen Farrell - Manchester
Johnny May - Swindon
George Ford - Oldham
Ben Youngs - Norwich
Mako Vinupola - New Zealand (but raised in Wales)
Dylan Hartley - New Zealand (English mother)
Dan Cole - Leicester
Courtney Laws - Hackney
George Kruis - Guildford
Chris Robshaw - Redhill
Tom Wood - Coventry
Nathan Hughes - Fiji

Four overseas born players, one qualifies through English mother, two by residency and not sure about Hughes.

Hardly supports the argument it is a south seas team!!

Well I suppose it is a variation on when we win the Ashes and they say that most our team are actually Saffers... :lolol:

Personally I think Jones is fantastic. Would love to be a fly on the wall as he navigates the RFU hierarchy, not to mention the one-on-one "pep" talks with the players. Must be pure gold.

He got your boys over the line vs. the Springboks in one of my favourite ever games of Rugby, don't think he needed anything else on his cv. Top Rugby Coach in the World?

Many thanks. Makes a joke of the snide insinuation.

Any idea of the Aussie equivalent today as a lot of those Aussie names sound like islanders?
