Our allocation will depend on if Aston Villa have anything to play for I suppose.

If they are in play off contention we might only get the bare minimum which is 2,000.

If they don't have anything to play for they might give us what we want. Their current average attendance is 32,000 in a 42,000 capacity stadium.

Apparently the reason we let them have 3500 is that they will do the same for us i was told on sat that they will give us the same % so we should get 4000 .

All home cup games are 20 because our club get the ticket money.

Is that the actual reason given by the club or an educated guess.

Have to say that surely if you are rewarding loyalty then away cup games should get equal pts to home ones as the gate money is shared, unlike away league games.

Well 45% of it same as we do for an away cup game

Paul Barber mentioned it in one of his forums somewhere. It's 45% of the money, after stadium expenses have been paid, so the club don't get much from away games.

But we get the same percentage for home cup games (after expenses) so I'm not sure that's the reason that home games get 20 loyalty points as opposed to only 10 for away cup games.

Yes, but there is also generally a 'stadium spend' on top of the ticket purchase for someone attending a home cup game. Basically, the club want to maximise home cup attendances more, hence more loyalty points.

The club only have 23 or so days per year to make revenue from matches - they need to maximise numbers through the gate.
