Good value, one of the 'other' companies that specialise in the birding market. If you are East Anglia based try Viking Optical among other retailers. But try before you buy - I can't emphasise that enough with optics.

On the off chance that anyone is interested, after trying out about 15 sets of binoculars over the last three days, I bought a second hand pair of Pentax 8x43 ED DCF - 3 years old. £800 of binocular (new, though now that model has been superseded) for £250. Optics were so much better than anything else I tried, but, to be fair, the rest were all new and I wasn't looking at anything over £400.

If you are not regular users of binoculars £150 is a lot for an item that would not be in regular use,have you tried family,friends or neighbours that might loan you a binocular,failing that visit Park cameras in Burgess Hill,their staff are very helpful and you can try out a selection
