I bet they'd go nuts if the EU parliament turned it's back to God Save The Queen.

And quite rightly so. God Save The Queen is our National Anthem. The National Anthem of our sovereign State.

The EU is not (yet) a sovereign State. I always stand for our National Anthem, and for the National Anthems of other nations. If the arguments I've read over the past dozen or so pages that the EU is not one State and wont ever be....what's the problem? The EU is not a "nation" so what's it doing with its own national anthem?

Every time I'm sure I can't get any more embraced by Brexit, this countries representation says 'hold my chips'

The National Socialist Party turning their back on the speaker of the Reichstag in 1930. (He was Jewish) Orchestrated by Joseph Goebbels. Farage & Goebbels eh? Six degrees of separation and all that.

It's not a "national" anthem. It's the European anthem. Bit like how the Champions League has an anthem. Do you turn around when that plays? Are you scared the Champions League is becoming a Superstate?

**** me, what the **** happened to this country?

It was a group of kids playing Ode to Joy which the EU has an anthem.

It would be nice if the people who supposedly represent me and my country did it in such a way as to, for once, not look like complete and utter ****s.

*Sits down in pub garden with beer while TMS is playing on radio*

So tell me, what part of the national identity are we losing here?

India v Bangladesh, with commentary from Prakash and Isa Guha? When Boris is king, they'll only broadcast ENGLAND games, and there'll be none of those foreign types on the wireless. Quite right too.

Forget TMS and listen to this, be careful not to let pride overcome because your beer might taste a bit salty.

I take it back, nothing could possibly ever be more patriotic than this. It's so patriotic I'm crying the Viking part of my heritage out in some sort of tear-based deportation routine.

Regression therapy is just a hobby for me.

This is a glowing endorsement, may I use this for my marketing testimonials?

Take it easy on the beer as your safety is paramount for me and my new found business.

A newly-elected Green MEP claims he was asked to leave the European Parliament building in Strasbourg on his first day.

Mr Magid, 30, who was wearing a baseball cap and a T-shirt, said someone thought he was lost and therefore should not have been there.

The former Lord Mayor of Sheffield was elected as one of six MEP's for the Yorkshire and Humber region in May.

He said he did not know who the official who asked him to leave was.

He added: "I make people feel uncomfortable, people don't know how to react."

In a tweet, he said: "I know I'm visibly different. I don't have the privilege to hide my identity. I'm BLACK & my name is Magid.

"I don't intend to try fit in. Get used to it!"

Him being "BLACK" wouldn't have come into it. If I turned up to my first day at my job dressed like that, I'd have been told exactly the same.
What with the whole back-turning episode as well today, we're really winning people over aren't we.

I'm fairly certain that bashlsdir will be along soon to tell us about a planned loft conversion, or modest extension, in Milton Keynes that proves this to be well wide of the mark.

To be fair, I am building a base for a conservatory for someone next month.

Question time is at Chichester this Thursday, be sure to watch it, I have a feeling it will be very entertaining.

Rumour has It there will be at least 1% who are not lefties for once!

This week will be made up with WI members asking questions about plum jam and dementia ridden old boys who thought it was gardeners question time and want to know how to force rhubarb.

I had a meeting last night with my financial advisor, he said he Joined the Tories a few months back for one reason only to vote for Boris and get Brexit done.

We had a great chat over a cuppa and a biscuit about how snowflake Britain has been melting for years.

If I was gay I would have let him lick my hobnob there and then.

It’s not hard to see why people like you got so easily conned.

Identity haha... Like the French have stopped being French, and the Germans stopped being Germans, and the Italians stopped being Italians. PpF. You really are a nitwit of epic proportions.

You're a clown Dave ,plenty of anti EU feeling in all of those countries , you're talking Euro trash again

Funny how often Financial advisors agree with the people they are selling to.
