I’m not worried about anything personally. But I have grave concerns for the more vulnerable and less fortunate members of society. For some Brexiteers and Tory scum they seem to be acceptable collateral damage.

Oh how my heart bleeds. What utter hypocrisy. If you are that concerned, then you could donate one of your two properties. Or, as Guardian -reading hypocrites tend to post, someone else could help.

I know what the word MAJORITY means.
But you are confusing the usage. Within a referendum and a general election they mean different things.

Which goes back to my original point, referendum and general elections are very different things. You are drawing comparisons between them to make a point, which is incorrect.

The UK is due to leave the European Union on 29 March, 2019 - it's the law, regardless of whether there is a deal with the EU or not. Stopping Brexit would require a change in the law in the UK. The European Court of Justice ruled on 10 December 2018 that the UK could cancel the Article 50 Brexit process without the permission of the other 27 EU members, and remain a member of the EU on its existing terms, provided the decision followed a "democratic process".

The result was the majority won and Article 50 was triggered as a consequence... Thats my last word on the matter Im bored or arguing with remainers who dont or wont understand the law.

Have a good evening.

Could they really do any worse? We have a government who is less competent than the keystone cops.

Any government would be in the same situation. They have been given the impossible job of trying to retain good trading links with Europe whilst leaving the EU.

There will ALWAYS be some form of compromise that the right wing won't agree to.

I'd imagine under Corbyn the compromise would be freedom of movement.

However I believe that would be more palatable to parliament since I think those really opposed to it in the country are less than voted out.

It doesn't need a change in the law. The Prime Minister can revoke Article 50 with just a letter.

What about ?

I'm not advocating a second referendum or suggesting we are staying. I'm just pointing out AGAIN that the referendum wasn't like a general election.

A minority can vote a government in, you can end up with a different Government, the voting is based on a first past the post system and unless you live in a marginal your vote doesn't count.

Really? I suggested that HE might be willing to advocate some sort of socialism, and that instead of maoning about Tory scum, as he puts it, he might actually try to help. Fat chance. Champagne socialists don't do that, do they.

think an act of parliament would be required otherwise an anti-Miller will raise a court case. after all PM couldnt write the letter to leave without parliament say so. sooner MPs accept this and set about resolution the better.

Best you tell the BBC as that was lifted from the news site.

I don't believe the BBC. I have proved at least one of their news items was a lie. They ignored my complaint when I contacted them to say so.
