So I see the French fisherman are acting true to form. Fearing Brexit, as they should. Had it far too easy for way too long.

Do pray tell on that French fisherman form and fearing Brexit. Do you think our fishermen should fear loss of access to CFP territorial waters and to ports such as Boulogne-sur-Mer and Skagen to land their catches as a result of Brexit as well, or will they be just fine and just not co-operate in regards to sustainability in the future and just land everything they want, all by themselves?

Most of the French boats involved in The Bay of Seine, and subject to French Government restrictions on fishing there, are smaller, sub 10 metre vessels. One of the British large, commercial vessels involved, The Honeybourne III of Petherhead, operating out of Shoreham, is 30 metres long. Like all Sub 10 metre fisherman everywhere, they don't stand a chance against a large, commercial vessel like that. Unlike you, the French fishermen would also know that The Honeybourne III PD905 has a previous conviction at this sort of thing - https://www.gov.uk/government/news/master-and-owner-fined-21746-for-fisheries-offences

I hope none of the remainers come out in defence of French fishermen, would certainly show their loyalty if they did

I'm highlighting the ignorance to the overall situation every bit as much as you are demonstrating yours to it with your inane reply.

Baffled that The Clamp has been barred from this thread for abuse, while others tossing abuse about carry on unmolested

Considering the amount of vile abuse you have heaped on Leavers, this has to be the most ironic, and moronic, post ever.

I am not surprised in the slightest the number of bilateral trade deals with other countries that Liam Fox has concluded is zero. I am surprised the guardian seems surprised/shocked, especially when only a few lines earlier it says “The common external tariff prevents EU members from signing bilateral agreements”.
I was just going to put it down as abysmal reporting, but since you reposted here and must agree with it, how is Liam Fox supposed to raise the level of successfully negotiated trade deals from zero to anything amounting higher whilst we are still members of the EU…….feel free to agree its crap reporting.

He is free to negotiate, though the Brexit outcome not being known may well make it a waste of time, but he cannot sign an agreement. It is somewhat unfair to point to Zero trade deals negotiated, but it is fair to criticise the notion that we will be leaving the EU in order to plough more fertile ground. There is only about 10% of our current trade overseas that is either not under an EU FTA or aided by a bilateral agreement between the EU and the other country, the agreement with the US for air transport for example.

Normally, I wouldn't bother, but after you have spent yet another night 'nuts deep in Battlefield 1 with my boys', your puff and your porn, and then come on here trying to tell people what you 'think' is happening in a Government department, I feel almost duty bound to correct you

Ok, none of that happened last night, feel free to invent away and you havnt corrected anything

Well, everyone should have a day (or night) off occasionally

I do have a view on this but as (I'm told) I am a lying and mentally-disabled hypocritical moron perhaps I should just let it go.

I wouldn't be quite so harsh on yourself.Go on,let it out,I couldn't care less.:D
