Except we, The UK, (just in case some of you forget where your loyalties lie) have said The EU`s backstop proposal which effectively keeps NI in The Customs Union and splits the UK with a border in the Irish sea is unacceptable, and yet here you all are supporting that split.
I believe in self determination, if Scotland choose to be independent via democratic means then so be it. The world moves forward increasingly with national groups seeking their own independence and self determination, the days of Empires are over even though the federalists wish and push for their own European Empire.

The future of the world depends on unity and co-operation. Not the breaking up of unions and nations. Even Athelstan in 924BC could see that. I mean, Jebus! even the most closed minded leaders on the planet, Trump and Kim Jom Un are trying to build bridges and forge future relationships (albeit fragile) and then there is us, forced into a misguided referendum in order to save Cameron's bacon and deliver a lie that fooled 54% of the population. Very sad to see we are on the wrong side of history and cutting off the branch we are sitting on.

What possibilities? International treaties, obligations and laws are international treaties, obligations and laws for everyone, unless you expected special treatment just because we're British and Boris Johnson thinks it's a runner. We could have just walked away and have the same arrangements with The EU as Belarus does, had we prepared for it or even Norway had we prepared for that. Purely on customs checks with existing technology on The Swiss/French and Norwegain/Swedish border there are cameras and delays. The Port of Dover and the 2.1 million lorries that pass through each year are not equipped for it, let alone Northern Ireland which has more crossings than the The EU does in the east from Finland to Greece.
Instead we basically just assumed that German car manufacturers would demand a special deal, because it was in their interest apparently and we'd have our cake and eat it etc. Personally when I saw Owen Paterson saying that to Dermot Murnaghan on Sky News and when pressed as to why there would be be deal because it's in their interest and answered 'because there has to be', I got the distinct impression he didn't have a clue what he was talking about and was just an arrogant, public school, Oxbridge ***t like so many of these cretins driving this car crash are.
Another problem since day 1 has been the fundamental fact that The EU know how things work and what special kind of ****heads they were dealing with, we didn't have a Scooby. It's an international treaty organisation going back decades, enshrined in EU and domestic law of it's 27 other member states. Which particular articles or which which particular treaties did we want changed to have this wonderful deal? We don't have a clue.
Never mind - blue passports though. It's been worth it for that.

So apparently David Davis won't be resigning, the Brexiteers claim they've won on the backstop arrangement by having a hard date contained in it, but tomorrow when it's announced it'll be rejected by Dublin and The EU because of the hard date proposed. All going well then.

The High St has been on it's way out for years. I'm sure the economic uncertainty has sped this up and the upcoming recession is gonna kill it off completely but it has been coming for years. Just look at Western Rd, every otgher shop is some kind of nomadic, midde eastern run bazarr selling etched mirrors, phone cases, leggings and wheelie suitcases.
