realistically it does. at that point we'd have no negotiation position left and the current leadership wouldn't have the balls to go through with a full on, nothing at all agreed exit, so they'd abandon.

Give it a couple more weeks and even the slowest readers from both the government and NSC may start to realise what was agreed to on Friday 9th December 2017 in the desperation to get this second phase of negotiations underway ???

The current leadership wouldn't have the balls to abandon it because of the immediate implosion of the Tory Party. All hypothetical anyway. The final deal will get through imo after much posturing and a few concessions.

Your interpretation of what was agreed was never accurate .. which is why Soubry et al who were celebrating back in December are now frothing at the mouth. :shrug:

In the unlikely event of a parliamentary no vote scenario, the best you could hope for is the UK government agreeing to ask for an extension to the article 50 process which requires unanimity from the 27 EU members. As they had already negotiated and signed off on the deal why would they agree to reopen negotiations?

Doesn't matter what my (or your) interpretation is. All that matters is Michel Barnier and David Davis interpretation. That's reassuring isn't it :lolol:

Parliament has voted to enact the will of the people and trigger article 50, which has a set timetable with an end date. Parliament voting down the deal means they aren't happy with the deal, it doesn't mean cancel Brexit as much as some people might hope it does.

Yep, she's just been handed £400k by a dodgy Hungarian businessman who nearly bankrupted the UK for his own gain. So much for only wanting to ensure the government stuck to the law .... she's actively trying to prevent Brexit and loving the attention.
