I think you've missed the point that remainers thought leavers were thinking so many different things that there could never be a solution that would have kept them all happy

Exactly. Remainers have been thinking they know what leavers are thinking (and the remainers all think they are right, whatever imaginary thoughts they are attributing to leavers) - so point not missed at all (except by you, perhaps).

I wish I could track down my post from 2016 where I made a list of predictions just to see how many were accurate and how many were way off the mark, I have tried to track it down but it appears to be like the uzerlum bird

The Oozelum bird is closely related to the Brexit bird and exhibits the same behaviours I believe.

It's probably with your predictions on Trump being impeached or shot.

No deal with the EU and no deal with Trump, my my hey hey we are in a pickle, still never mind lets fly a Blimp and we will all feel better.

Maybe the vision of a utopia outside of Europe should not have been floated either ?

Are any remain voters willing to admit that they want the EU to supersede British government because they see themselves more aligned with the politics of continental Europe and it's a way to moderate the Tories?

I think you have us down as some sort of fifth columnists? It really is not like that.

Since you've never managed to find a post where I said we weren't leaving (despite being asked numerous times ) , do you not think that these fantasies maybe a bit of a hint that you should cut back a little on the porn and puff, and maybe try and come back to reality a little ???

I dont need to share it with you, its not as if you deny expressing these opinions, you just cant remember where. How do you know i havnt found you expressing the view that brexit wont happen on NSC anyway?

So you haven't noticed Brexit going in ever decreasing circles?

I'm referring to your belief in the existence of the Oozelum bird  and that there is such a thing as a 'Brexit bird'. Delusional.

Still, compared to the idea of the sunny uplands of the EU................

Excellent response , can you see how well the country is " coming together "? of course it wasn't utopia in Europe but its better than what we face now.

That's a major chip you are carrying around. Virtually every rule passed by the EU ( of which we are a part of at all levels, remember ) is either accepted or we opt out. I'm still waiting for someone to come up with an instance where the EU superseded our government with a law or rule that was detrimental to the majority of Brits.

Of course we're coming together - I was agreeing with every word you said..................up until the word 'but'!

That's what, two thirds/three quarters (?) of your post I agree with. So that's a start, eh?

I see, myth, metaphor and simile a bit tricky for you, bless you, but, you opened Pandoras box voting for Brexit, you are as one eyed as Cylops, and the benefits of Brexit are as rare as hens teeth. I feel a bit like Cassandra conversing with you leavers on here, but you will all meet Nemesis sooner or later.

Its not about individual laws and whether they are good or bad, its about the principle that the EU can in the areas that it has exclusive competence as defined by treaty, legislate with legally binding regulations and directives without the need for parliamentary permission.Asking which of these laws brought about in this way is detrimental is a red herring to the wider principle of parliamentary sovereignty and accountability.
