well no one promised it, it was a suggested alternative. either way, its rather crass opportunism to call for addition funding from that dividend now, when its not due for another few years.

or people quote selectively, the letter goes on to say that "The sectoral analysis is a wide mix of qualitative and quantitative analysis, contained in a range of documents developed at different times since the referendum".

If you're going to be a smug, haughty, know it all, Brexit at any cost, Tory Brexiteer - please at least use capital letters in your smug, haughty, know it all, Brexit at any cost, Tory Brexiteer replies - it makes it far easier to at least attempt to understand your pontificated posts. (Or did you just have the same English teacher as Pretty Pink Fairy?)

We stop haemorrhaging money to the EU. Sadly that's all the EU is worried about how much they can squeeze out of us. Nice relationship that isn't it

Oh okay - that old chestnut. I thought something positive about Brexit had actually happened for a moment.

The EU are deeply worried about the complete and utter clusterf*ck of a Government they're now having to 'negotiate' with - and that Government is looking far worse by the day, frankly. It's a bit like the Police having to deal with a drunk on a rooftop..............

Not particularly - it doesn't really prove anything other than Davis is blowing hot air, bluster and spin again whilst the spectre of contempt of Parliament hung in the air.

We're leaving because of our own failures of government, not the failings of the EU.

All the EU are doing is standing up for their members, if we were still in and France were leaving we'd expect little else.

When you file for divorce you are rarely better off, this situation will be no different.

The non-doms that pumped out the propaganda won't deliver utopia as promised, and the poor will suffer most

No the EU are worried about the lump sum they are going to get. They don't give a toss about anything else.

I thought that they needed us more than we needed them. Surely if our trade is more important to them than their's is to us then this matters more to them. Or are we pretending that they care about 50 billion is all that matters to an economy worth 17 trillion.

So to make this visual.
50,000,000,000 is more important than protecting
17,000,000,000,000,

Do you see now how 50 billion as a one off is actually sod all?

To make that more understandable to people like us used to normal numbers we simply remove 9 zeros.

So 50 quid compared to 17,000 quid.

Can someone check my maths there? Pretty clear who needs who more isn't it?

Our contributions are actually sod all in UK government expediture, it was less than 1% before sterling crashed. Given the choice i'd rather send money to the EU if it meant a decent trade deal against barriers and chaos

You are Diane Abbott,I had my suspicions. How you get the figure of 17 trillion, only you,and perhaps your carer, will know. What did you do?Add up all the quantitative easing figures for the last 10 years? They need our cash because their economy is at the bottom of the toilet, and they haven't got enough left to pay Poland for the next 5 years.

The sad thing is, it's thick racists like you that will suffer the most in Brexit Britain. I'll be okay personally, I have the intelligence to adapt and flourish. It's dumb motheruckers like you that will lose out. And you voted for it.

Glad to see you have come round to our way of thinking that its possible to adapt and flourish in a post Brexit Great Britain.

I am still amazed that so many people seem to think that being anti Brexit means you are automatically pro Corbyn.

That’s slightly mental, ive never heard anyone take that default position. But plus points for imagining it in your head.

The massive irony in all this is that those Tory supporters who keep blindly championing Brexit are the ones who are helping get Corbyn into government. This could be absolute carnage..

Don’t forget The UKIP, Liberal, Green, Socialist and Labour supporters who are championing Brexit as well.
The only people aiding Corbyn are the ultra undemocratic remoaners, with their constant negativity, scheming, lies and half truths to make Brexit a disaster and bring the government down.

I never said all Brexit voters were Tory. I simply said that the hardcore play a huge role.

Saw this on twitter. Makes you think.

Brexiters are pushing the line that people are going after Johnson and Patel because they were leading figures for #Brexit. Have heard this across three news programmes tonight.

Here's an alternative exlanation: Brexit campaign was led by liars and LIARS EVENTUALLY GET CAUGHT.

Nadhim Zahawi MP was blaming the furore on Johnson and Patel last night on C4 News, Sky News and Newsnight on 'Labour Remoaners'.

It was the worst spin I'd seen since Min Patel played against India in 1996.

I decided to Leave before any of the campaigning even started.
