Maybe, but the point is he's already picked up enough to have got a ban and he's surrounded by good defenders and good protective midfielders.

Can you imagine him playing for the likes of Burnley or Hull in the Prem with quality attackers in his face all the time? He'd be getting booked every match and perhaps worse.
