Personally the two co-presenters were magnificent, think C4 did really well with this first series taken from BBC

IMO, it was obvious that confident Sophie was going to win, six weeks back. Hollywood couldn't hide his admiration and she was the most consistent of the bunch.

Viewing figures I suspect will be massively down on BBC1, but still great for C4 and their advertisers.

.. and Channel 4 (of course) publicly owned.

The world has somewhat changed and viewing figures aren't everything any more. Not sure Amazon cared how many viewing figures The Grand Tour got due to the massive publicity their Prime service got off the back of it.

"BBC Studios" have also been recently been farmed off as a commercial entity. Although owned by BBC they can now bid for making programmes for other channels.

It's very complicated.
