Dublin was great 20 years ago, it's completely had the soul sucked out of it now, Cork became the new Dublin in the early 2000's and now it's been Galway for last few years and that going the same way as Dublin and Cork before it. As others have said the North is more fun, Derry and Belfast despite the tourists is good.
