Glamorgan recall fast bowler Timm van der Gugten after Netherlands duty in their squad to face Sussex in Cardiff.

Van der Gugten, who has 29 Championship wickets in eight matches, was away for the win over Worcestershire.

Unbeaten Sussex are without paceman Chris Jordan who is on England one-day duty, with England Lions left-arm seamer George Garton replacing him.




Visitors' captain Luke Wright asked Glamorgan to bat.

Sussex's innings win over Gloucestershire last time out puts them in sixth place, 41 points behind Division Two leaders Essex.

They have drawn nine of their eleven games and are 18 points ahead of Glamorgan in seventh.

Glamorgan have won two of their last three Championship games after going without a four-day victory in the first half of 2016.

They are without batsmen Colin Ingram (knee damage) and Chris Cooke (back) for the rest of the season.

Yay! The rot's over the descent has been stopped. Promotion is now nailed on as is the Div 1 championship next year. One day success will automatically follow. We're back!

Good to see Christian Davis getting another chance - he's been out to a couple of good catches so far and if he can remember to hit the ball along the ground early in his innings rather than trying to lift it over the infield I fancy him to go big. Good also to see Garton in the team.
