Sex starved frustrated men and many of these will sadly go down the wrong path....thrusting so many people into Europe was always going to be a disaster with massive cultural differences.

Europe has been ruined forever

Yawn. Think I'm going to duck out before this thread become a repeat of all the others. Byeeee.

Post Brexit I'm puzzled as to the continued obsession with Germany and Merkel. Still, it's always good advice to have plenty of water to hand.
Why shouldn't we, an independent country, take notice of the largest and most powerful country in the EU? They have been and will continue to be, our friends and as such we are not burying our heads in the sand as you are regarding Merkel's disastrous policies. On a personal level, I am very concerned for the country where many of my family and friends live, I imagine we all have a 'stake' in Germany.

This site has become utterly tedious over the past few months; it's the same people saying the same things over and over again. I can probably include myself in this assessment as well; I'm not sure I've got anything new to add either. I think I'll just stick to the food and music threads.

on the face of it your post seems quite alarming

but, sadly many lives have been ruined by the NYE attacks and swimming baths attacks

collateral damage to local MPs seeking power

but,to ordinary famalies,devastating

It's very distasteful how people scramble to the keyboard to post any possible rumour of a terrorist attack like they need to be the first ones on a football forum based in Brighton, almost in hope for death, first to blame refugees. Daily Mail city. I used to come here for the football and music, now I find myself just battling far right numpties. I think I'll walk away again in September.

Just a bit of grandstanding due to the forthcoming elections; there's a lot of other nonsense being spouted as well...not just this. Nothing to get excited about.

I don't think this is true.

I have been going to Munich regularly for the last 7 years and in that short term I have seen a palpable change in views of people there. I went over in early August a week after the most recent attack and the views of the friends and others I spoke to whilst there were that it was far from business as usual.

The level of security in Munich while I was there was incredible, and whilst on one hand it can be argued that it's reassuring, for most locals life it is a profound sign of change to their day to day lives.

It is well understood by the locals that next month's Oktoberfest will be subject to unprecedented security checks, this is the kind of change that will royally piss off conservative Bavarians, who already lament the commercialisation of the festival. I was surprised to hear from many people who I spoke with that have decided not to attend this year, and these were people who have been going for years.

Fair enough it's only my anecdotal experience, however that would still indicate that there are many people in Germany who are furious with Merkel, this was never the case in previous years.

This, any slightly liberal leaning comment or concern over the Brexit strategy and you are immediately sworn at, insulted and generally hounded by the 4 or 5 far right lot that have been allowed to run riot on here. Politics threads? I'm out.

We are all saddened, angered and alarmed by incidents but views on the causes and solutions vary. To say that another person's view is in your view wrong is one thing but to claim that your view has a monopoly on actually caring about them is pretty offensive.

But given that you too regularly contribute, as you have done here, how can you hypocritically claim that you are here only for the football and music. Why should music appear on a football website any more than political matters? Talk about double standards! Perhaps it is you who is the numpty? So why not leave now in August? I doubt you will be missed.

This tallies exactly with my experience. They have now realised what they have let themselves in for. Of course the majority of those settled in Germany will only want a quiet and peaceful life, but a substantial minority will make little effort to integrate and strife will be the inevitable outcome, sadly.

Translation.

I tried to shut down opinions I didn't agree with by abusing and smearing people as I am now but it isn't working so I'm going to flounce out in tears.

To be honest you and your ilk are advocating policies that many here consider a threat to the saftey and welfare of their friends and families, and you are doing it in an arrogant and abusivemanner.

TBH you can go and do one and take Dave, Badfish and Her Tub Thumper with you.
