Albion have managed to keep four consecutive clean sheets and sit top of the Sky Bet Championship table.

He said, “That’s not just down to the back four and the goalkeeper [defensive record] - it’s always a reflection of the whole team. When we have a good defensive record, it’s always about the team.“Just like Glenn Murray scoring the other night, I thought it was a really good goal and it was Liam Rosenior who crossed the ball in for him.
“All we can ask from Glenn is for him to keep producing what he’s already done for the team. What I’ve been delighted with is not just his three goals, he’s also working really hard for the team.”

Hughton looked ahead to today’s match at Reading, and expects the Royals to be eager to bounce back following a heavy defeat at Newcastle United in midweek.“It certainly doesn’t make it any easier [Reading losing], particularly in this division, where the games come thick and fast. They will be very keen to get another game as quickly as possible - that is always the case.
“When you’re on the back of a defeat, you want that next game to come quickly. When you’ve won a game, you’re quite happy to extend that period of time. They’ll want to get into the next game, so if anything, it will make it harder.”
The Seagulls boss reflected on the remainder of the transfer window and although he is targeting another centre-back and centre-forward, he insists there is no preference in terms of position.

"We have good options in those areas. Bruno has settled in at centre-half as if he has played there all his career and apart from the three up front, there's also Elvis Manu, who is training well and has got himself to a good level.

"We also have other players we know can play off the front; Solly March is coming back, Jamie Murphy can do it, and [Jiri] Skalak too. Therefore, I wouldn't say there is one preference over the other.”
