A look ahead to a hectic first month of the season.

Brighton & Hove Albion head into the first month of the season with a minimum of six games in the space of three weeks.
*
The season’s action begins with an opening day fixture away at Derby County at the iPro Stadium on Saturday 6th August.
*Chris Hughton’s men will be looking to end a run of five games without an away victory over the Rams, but they did earn a share of the spoils last season, securing a 2-2 draw.
The Seagulls then turn their attention to the EFL Cup first round tie with Colchester United at the Amex on Tuesday 9th August, kick-off 7.45pm.
*
It will be the first-ever meeting between the two sides at the Amex, and the first game since an Ashley Barnes strike secured Albion a 1-1 draw with the U’s back in April 2011.

Nottingham Forest are the first league opposition to visit the stadium on Friday 12th August, in a game broadcast by the Sky Sports cameras.
*
Albion will be hoping to replicate the success from last season’s corresponding fixture, which saw Kazenga LuaLua’s strike secure a 1-0 win.
The games continue to come thick and fast, with Rotherham United the next visitors to the Amex on Tuesday 16th August, meaning Hughton’s men will have three home games in the space of a week.
*
A trip to the Madejski Stadium to face Reading awaits on Saturday 20th August, and should Albion be successful against Colchester, the Seagulls face an EFL Cup second round tie the week commencing Monday 22nd August.
Arguably the most eye-catching fixture of them all comes on Saturday 27th August with a match away at Newcastle United - Albion’s first trip to St James’ Park in over 24 years.
*
The game will also be shown live on Sky Sports at the later kick-off time of 5.30pm.
