We were going to go as my daughter has just moved to Aldershot, but our best friends are over from Denver so won't make it now.

Why is this match being played at Aldershot?
No idea. No idea why we are playing a Championship side in a friendly either. It is a Fulham home game so perhaps they are doing some refurbishment.

I think (and i'm guessing) this is because Champ clubs don't like staging these low key pre-season friendlies at their home grounds because they are still getting things ready for season kick off (pitch, bars, security and all that). Why Aldershot was picked or asked - i've no idea. Perhaps as Fulham are the "home" club - its their choice.

So it's neither team's home game, and to make it more local for fans (it's only more local to drive, not sure they realised it's through clapham to get to aldershot on train).

It is a Fulham home game.
I thought it a little strange to hear Chris Hughton say he'd selected this game for the fans as it's not far to go.

looks like there's a 10.04 from aldershot to clapham junction getting in at 10.52, and a 11.13 to haywards heath...
