Quite happy with David. good solid name. it means beloved, which might sound a bit wimpy, but.......
One name I would not like is Rupert. One of my brothers in law went to the registry office 40 years ago under strict instruction to name his first born son Rupert. He came home with a birth certificate with William on it. Lucky old William, I say.

When I was in my first job in the late 80's / early 90's there was a young woman in our office who'd officially changed her name from something like Alison Smith to Boris Karloff.....
I also have a friend whom I and others have always known as Michael, but when we meet up with another group of his friends and ex-colleagues they call him Paul. It can get a little confusing....
