He was overheard saying to his young apprentice;

"Brighton Centre sea front: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious."

Is this some sort of victory tour?

Bizarre isn't it.

Wouldn't it be nice if this place had a similar attitude next season, where any game we only lose by a much smaller margin than we were expected to, is joyously celebrated as a WIN on here. Only losing by the odd goal to Man City when you'd have expected them, with the distance between the two clubs so very recently, to have hammered us out of sight gets greeted with marvellous scenes and calls for an open top bus parade.

It's one thing to re-write history, but this going down as a Corbyn victory really is re-writing the present. Amazing trick the Labour Party are pulling off there.

.

Followed by a protest march through the city of London where we demand that the 3 points be awarded to us for being such plucky losers .

There is a more useful analogy. If we finish 8th next season, and lose in the Cup Final, then Brighton fans and the club will correctly celebrate a very successful campaign with end of season dinners and communications to fans etc

If it was obvious to all that improvements in the club meant that real silverware, and status as a footballing powerhouse, was only a matter of time away, then the celebrations would be all the more merited.

Please for heavens sake do not compare Brighton &a Hove Albion to the Labour Party.

Yes, he must be some sort of David Blaine/Hyno Guru to have thousands of people supporting him after he lost. How does he do it? Smoke? mirrors? something in the Chai- Lattes? Surely something must be done to break this mass delusion that he has conjured up from a desperate fragmented shell of a Labour party.

I know it's the Torygraph, but surely this is #fakenews?

"Labour was in chaos on Sunday after the party's chairman warned moderate MPs could be purged and that none "have a divine right" to serve under Jeremy Corbyn.

Ian Lavery, who was in charge of Labour's election campaign, hinted that MPs could be de-selected if they do not agree with Mr Corbyn's plans as it emerged the move could accelerate plans for a new party.

Rumours that senior Labour MPs are working behind the scenes to build a new movement which would be seen as a more centrist version of Labour were circulating amid the chaos.

"Labour moderates are plotting to form a new centrist party if Jeremy Corbyn’s allies start deselecting MPs, according to senior figures with links to Tony Blair.

Former donors have been approached about backing a new party — despite Labour’s strong performance in the general election — after Corbyn’s allies signalled that they want to purge critics of the leader and change party rules to strengthen their position at the Labour conference in September.

Some hope to enlist celebrities such as JK Rowling and Gary Lineker to back a new third party.

The Labour moderate Liz Kendall has revealed she was threatened with deselection as an MP within 48 hours of the election on June 8...
