Why on earth have you introduced italics? Is that supposed to emphasise something? Corbyn is well known as a Socialist, as is Bernie Sanders. They support the UN borders agreed by everyone except Israel for which they have been criticised by the UN. How does that make him an anti-Semite? Are you saying that if you criticise the Israeli government you are automatically anti-semite? In that case, so am I along with the rest of the UN. Where do you stand?

Actually I don't think I have done much Corbyn praising on here. I had hoped he would bring in new talent and open up a debate about on new policies but I have seen little evidence of that. People in my local party seem to love him so there is still support for him but I don't see what they see in him; a good MP but largely out of his depth and stuck in a 1983 echo chamber. Yes, I am renewing my season ticket.

claiming Godwins law and "false news" is just trying to side step the issue. the claim isnt that Corbyn is anti-semitic, but that he supports and shares a platform with anti-semites. is that acceptable for a national party leader? personally, i'm ok with much of his voting record and rebellions, he done so on consistently on grounds that seem to make sense to him even if i wouldnt agree. however, those views are very objectionable to many, and can be called to account for them, not just dismissed away. outside the left of Labour he is quite a divisive figure, even within his own party.

You just have to ask yourself one question - if Corbyn is as weak as they say, why do they devote so much time trying to smear him?
Because we desperately, desperately need an effective opposition as the world shifts further and further to the right. Believe me, I'm to the left of the spectrum and do not see Corbyn as a threat to anyone accept the Labour Party itself.
I'd also add, the branches and PLPs are the least functional they've ever been. Discord is basically banned, everyone is basically there to echo Corbyn. That isn't healthy either. Reason I left? I was called a Tory after - get this - I championed Co-Operarives (which by the way have been affiliated with the Labour Party for the best part of a century).

Not true at mine. There's a big move to pass a motion asking MPs to vote against article 50 at my next branch meeting.

The only thing JC "absolutely smashed" was Dianne, that was a while ago, if you think he has a chance of coming from behind again and getting elected, then you might be in for a long wait.

He did indeed and I agree with slinging out the Tories. Sadly none if this makes Corbyn any more electable to three quarters of the electorate.
The thought of JC coming from behind is, quite frankly, too disgusting to contemplate - sorry to lower the tone in such an enrest political debate!!
