ITV used to show- for some bizarre reason- World's Strongest Man competitions whenever it was a bank holiday Monday.
These were almost without fail won by burly Icelanders, sweating profusely and turning purple as they pointlessly lugged monster truck tyres from one end of a field to the other.
I'm not sure who came up with the challenges, but I've always imagined that the Reykjavik branch of Kwik-Fit must be the most efficient on the planet.
